I think dre only wants your good whe he said that cause honestly you could've been banned for glitching in our server by now, and honestly, the only reason you're not is cause we decided to let everyone go with a warning, so let it be clear that next time i catch you glitching through walls, will be your last time here. Now to those who say fudge and ruben weren't punished, you are wrong but what happened is between our staff, ruben and fudge are the few mods we have active at the moment and removing them from our team for a mistake would be a bad decision, we 100% believe that both of them are going to redeem themselfs and do a great job as they already did before.

 

So what happened was somebody killed a guy from 65m at night. I was curious if he used any lighthack. When I tp-ed there was a group of people the torch guy was already dead so I didnt know how he got killed at night. I was still curious if somebody from the group used lighthack or high gamma. I started moving in the distance and it was clear that they noticed me. So I went that far I couldnt even see them in the dark. They started shooting and I got headshot. I only saw the fire they weapons made I still couldnt see them. When they started to get closer I wanted to keep distance so I went behind a rock to tp home. It was so dark I assumed they shouldnt notice me while Im waiting 10 seconds. But they run up to me I took dmg so the TP stopped and I was bugged I couldnt move. They tried to place barricade on me to disconnect. So I tped "home" again this time it worked but I was still bugged. Because I got headshot in the dark earlier I tped behind them and I also warned them about using any lighthack. They went away 100m and then suddenly kicuch left his team and ran up to me. I was behind a big rock at night so I thought he is still using at least light hack ignoring the warning a gave them earlier about high gamma isnt allowed here. After that the rest of the team ran up to me too I thought that the best choice is to ban them now couse it seemed to me they are not willing to disable they high gamma. I didnt wanted to ban TheMessiFixer or any of his group but I thought after a ban appeal they might willing to play without high brightess in the future.

After that almost everybody from that group started to explain me how the high gamma dont count as a hack.

Edit: So yea thats about the event bug what about admin abusing? What are your points that you see as abuse and you think that I should be punished for?

 

Im aware that there is a lack of mods, but they can do really everything, because they know about it?


@west I pretty sure that you know how to check players correctly, but at least our situation was so lack of judgement for those bans.

Edit: If you were so curious to check us, why you didn't come as invisible and just followed us unseen?
Then if we had seen you of course someone of us had to use 3rd party program.

Even JohnLost told me that you were checking our base by flying around it before you banned us
(same leather dude with name Lionel Messi).
On the time only JohnLost was gathering resources near by our base when he saw you flying and end of us was scouting around the map (near small rad / french valley).

You really need stop to using lighthack name, because it's 3rd party program and gamma you can change it with out using 3rd party program.


This goes into the question of whether me having a really wide monitor which can give me better FOV and more view than other players considered cheating.
If I have a gaming mouse and other users don't have one, is that considered cheating? No, and No.

It should be the focus of game developers to contain the most possible measures to decent parameters to prevent player advantage.

As a developer, you can't prevent monitor setting tweaks on a player's computer. That would be ridiculously intrusive.
Maybe someone who plays has a vision impairment and needs to maximize their gamma. The most simple and politically unspoken solution is to just roll with it.

They can maybe make their darkness more dark, so that even with maximized gamma, you can't see anything, but that's about all the devs can do.
You can't tell people to not to do it, because they will laugh and still do it because there is no incentive not to.

If we get banned because we broke the rule and didn't get any kind of warnings, that you can see on the video how much time there was between "warnings" and ban's.
Then someone needs to get banned from staff, because someone is breaking the forum rule of free speech, because my account keep getting banned!

How can I check if you have high gamma if I go invisible? xD

The rules says you cant use high gamma and this is for a reason:

From what I see most of the players on this server cant see anything at night they uses torches to see something. Its the most annoying thing to get shot by somebody who can see at night. So I see how this rule is useful.
Im also sure its fun to run around with higher brightness and wide FOV at night.

If that rule changes or you are willing to play with lower brightness you can write a ban appeal and I will unban you. But as I said most of the players dont play like that here.

I dont remember seeing JohnLost before but players usually report if they see a flying man.

Players always expect admins to be right in 100% if not they are call them abusers. I hope one day I will have a chance to meet that perfect admin xD
I banned you becouse you headshoted me at night and there was no indication that you want to set your brightness lower so it wasnt for "no reason".
